Johann Andreas Strassburger (b.1716) was the eldest son of Johann Ulrich Strassburger and his first wife, Maria Elizabetha Flücken. Johann Andreas emigrated in 1742 from the Palatinate of Germany to Philadelphia, and then returned to Germany to marry Catherina Rosina Kolb in 1751.
